Lovat Parks has become the first holiday park operator in the United Kingdom to achieve Mumsnet Rated status, an accreditation awarded after receiving five-star ratings from all participating Mumsnet users.
The recognition follows a consumer testing program in which independent families stayed at Lovat Parks’ Padstow Holiday Village during the February half-term period in 2026.
According to the results, 100 percent of the reviewers rated their stay as “very satisfied,” and all participants indicated they would recommend Lovat Parks to friends or family. Reviewers also reported complete satisfaction with the location.
The holiday park operator has locations across the UK, including sites in Cornwall, Norfolk, Suffolk, and the New Forest.
The parks provide a range of accommodations, including luxury lodges, static caravans, safari tents, grass camping pitches, and shepherd huts suitable for two guests. Certain parks also allow pets, and all sites now feature electric vehicle charging points.
Lovat Parks focuses on sustainability while maintaining competitive pricing. Luxury caravans and glamping units with hot tubs are among the primary offerings. Activities at the parks are family-oriented, such as fishing, campfire marshmallow toasting, and ranger-led adventures, particularly at dog-friendly sites like Green Hill Farm Holiday Village in the New Forest.
Raoul Fraser, CEO and founder of Lovat Parks, said the accreditation reflects a broader trend in domestic tourism.
According to the Daily Mail, he noted, “We’re seeing a real shift in the way British families choose to holiday, more frequently, closer to home and with a genuine desire to slow down and reconnect with nature. The Mumsnet accreditation reflects not just the quality of what we offer, but a broader moment for UK tourism. Families don’t need to get on a plane to have an extraordinary holiday, and the data we’re seeing tells us more and more of them know it.”
Founded in 2018, Lovat Parks has received multiple industry recognitions, including Visit England Five Star Holiday Park in 2023 and the British Travel Awards Silver in 2024.
For business owners, the company’s approach illustrates the growing importance of domestic, experience-focused, and sustainability-conscious offerings in the UK holiday park sector.
