Ninham Country Holidays, a family-run destination on the Isle of Wight, has been named the best family campsite in the South East at Campsites.co.uk’s camping and glamping awards 2024.
The campsite, situated near Shanklin at Ninham Farm, impressed visitors with its family-friendly amenities and pristine surroundings, earning a 4.79-star rating on the travel platform, with 96% of guests recommending the destination to others.
Guests consistently praise the site’s high standards, with one visitor describing it as “what a gem of a campsite,” while another noted that the “facilities are excellent, everything is spotless and there’s so much for kids to do.”
Set within 10 acres of Isle of Wight landscape, the campsite’s layout incorporates mature trees and natural hedges that create intimate, separated camping areas, offering privacy while maintaining a community atmosphere.

Nestled in a wooded valley surrounded by rolling hills and farmland, the site also offers grass pitches suitable for all types of touring units, motorhomes, and tents. Facilities include a dedicated play area for younger children, swings and climbing equipment for older children, and outdoor badminton and table tennis.
The site also encourages guests to bring bikes, with several bike loops located around the site. Additionally, a small on-site laundry features two coin-operated commercial washing machines and two dryers for convenience.
