Honeybridge Park Highlights Diversification Strategy for Campsites

Honeybridge Campsite & Caravan Park in West Sussex continues to attract visitors with a combination of touring, camping, and static holiday home options, supported by four-star facilities recognized by the English Tourist Board.

The site, located in Dial Post near Horsham and adjacent to the South Downs National Park, has been operating since the early 1970s and expanded in 2008 to include static holiday homes.

The 15-acre property features landscaped grounds bordered by ancient woodland and provides a mix of touring caravan pitches, camping areas, and opportunities to purchase lodges or static caravans.

More than a third of the pitches are on hard-standing bases with electric hookups, a feature that can help extend visitor stays throughout the year.

Facilities include heated bathrooms, family and disabled-access bathrooms, showers, laundry rooms, and a secure storage compound for touring caravans and motorhomes. Long-stay pitches are also available under specific regulations.

An on-site café and shop, independently run by George and Abbie, provides hot meals, takeaway snacks, and basic supplies, with the operators stating they are willing to source essentials on request.

The park also offers additional guest services such as caravan siting for storage customers, reducing setup requirements for returning visitors.

Owned and managed by Island Meadow Parks, Honeybridge is one of ten parks in the group, which operates across East and West Sussex, Suffolk, Norfolk, and Hampshire.

Island Meadow Parks is a family-run business led by Peter Pratt and a network of site managers.

According to the group, “The love of camping, caravanning and the great outdoors is in our blood,” and the company emphasizes its focus on maintaining standards across all its properties.

For outdoor hospitality professionals, Honeybridge Park illustrates how independent operators can diversify their revenue streams beyond seasonal touring and camping.

By combining holiday home sales, long-stay offerings, storage facilities, and an all-year operating model, the park positions itself to appeal to different market segments while creating more stable year-round income.

Its proximity to attractions such as the South Downs Way, local castles, gardens, and seaside destinations further enhances its appeal for guests seeking both short-term stays and long-term commitments.
