Glampfest, the renowned family festival near Scotton, is set to return with fervor to the fields of Market Flat Lane in Knaresborough from May 10 to May 12.
The event, which has captivated camping enthusiasts since its inception in 2017 by James and Sarah Martin, is anticipated to draw nearly double the attendees compared to last year, nearing 3,000 participants.
The festival was originally developed as a gathering for Glawning brand customers but has since expanded into a much-anticipated event that attracts a diverse audience from across the United Kingdom.
Sarah Martin, the director of Glampfest, remarked on the event’s growth, stating, “We’re so pleased Glampfest has blossomed into such a well-loved event on the calendar.” This year, the festival is poised to offer a broader array of activities and setups that cater to both day trippers and camping enthusiasts.
New features for 2024 include a Sports Zone for athletic activities, a Zen Zone for relaxation, an Acoustic Lounge for live soft tunes, a Vintage Photo Booth for capturing memories, and a Luxury Glamping Village for an upscale camping experience, as reported by Your Harrogate.
These additions complement the well-established attractions such as a variety of food and drink vendors, a forest school for kids, storytelling sessions, and wellness activities like yoga and massage.
The entertainment lineup this year is particularly robust, featuring live music from both local and far-flung performers. Notably, culinary icon Karen Wright from the “Great British Bake Off” will be conducting live cooking demonstrations from her cookbook, “Meals on the Move: A Campsite Cooking Journey,” adding a gastronomic delight to the festival’s offerings.
Additionally, motivational speaker Siobhan Daniels, also known as the Retirement Rebel, is scheduled to share her inspiring adventures, adding a motivational layer to the event. The festival will also welcome The Retro Camping Club for the first time, providing an exclusive look at their collection of vintage vehicles, which is sure to attract automotive enthusiasts.
Ticket availability for both day visitors and weekend campers has been announced, with the organizers stressing that owning a Glawning is not a prerequisite for attendance, thereby broadening the event’s appeal.
Glampfest 2024 not only aims to be a festive gathering but also a significant contributor to local tourism in Knaresborough, fostering community engagement and economic activity. With its eclectic mix of activities, entertainment, and community spirit, Glampfest 2024 invites everyone to experience the charm and camaraderie of this unique outdoor event.
