Fox Tiny House Offers Year-Round Glamping at Hawthorns Site in Rural Norfolk

Fox Tiny House is a cabin-style glamping accommodation located at Hawthorns Glamping in rural Norfolk, England. Operating year-round, the unit is one of three glamping accommodations set within a three-acre meadow surrounded by farmland.

The site positions itself away from coastal centres while remaining within driving distance of Norfolk’s beaches, with Cromer and Sheringham approximately 20 miles away.

The accommodation is designated as dog-free and is primarily aimed at adult guests, with the upstairs sleeping area noted as potentially unsuitable for children due to open-sided steps without handrails.

The tiny house is a bespoke, fully insulated and double-glazed structure designed to offer self-contained accommodation. Internally, it features an open-plan living space on the ground level that includes a kitchen equipped with an oven, grill, four-ring gas hob, microwave, and fridge freezer, along with crockery and cooking utensils.

A foldaway breakfast bar and stools are incorporated to manage space efficiently. The living area includes a sofa that can be converted into a bed for one additional guest if required.

Also on the ground floor is a private shower room with a flushing WC, wash basin, heated towel rail, and hot water supply. The sleeping area is located on a raised level and contains a king-size bed with provided bed linen, lighting, power sockets, and electric heating.

Externally, the unit includes a picnic table, benches, and a fire pit, with parking provided in a designated area behind the meadow. While there is no fixed barbecue, guests are permitted to bring their own for use in the fire pit area.

The wider glamping field allows for separation between units, and Fox Tiny House can be booked alongside other accommodations on site, including Squirrel Lodge, for group stays.

The surrounding area includes several visitor attractions and local amenities that operate on established schedules. Dereham, one of Norfolk’s oldest market towns, hosts a regular market every Tuesday and features independent shops, cafés, and The Orion cinema.

Nearby Reepham holds frequent country markets and antique fairs around its Market Square, while The Marriott’s Way walking and cycling trail runs through the town year-round. Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure Park is located less than 10 minutes away by car, and Pensthorpe Nature Park is approximately 15 minutes away and operates seasonally with events and educational programs throughout the year.

Fakenham Racecourse hosts scheduled national hunt race meetings during the racing season, drawing visitors to the area.

For professionals in the outdoor hospitality and glamping sector, Fox Tiny House offers an example of how compact accommodation can be positioned as a year-round product by combining efficient interior design, clear guest suitability guidelines, and proximity to a mix of seasonal attractions and regularly scheduled local events.

The model highlights how smaller units can diversify a rural site’s accommodation mix while appealing to guests seeking privacy, comfort, and access to established regional tourism infrastructure.
