Florence Springs Glamping Village in South Wales is offering an alternative to traditional cold-weather camping, combining comfort and outdoor adventure for visitors even in the colder months.
Located about 10 minutes from the coastal town of Tenby—recently named one of Rough Guide’s top destinations for 2025—the site features a range of unique accommodations designed to keep guests warm and comfortable while enjoying nature.
Among Florence Springs’ accommodations are two treehouse hideaways, including the larger Cuckoo’s Nest Treehouse, which overlooks the surrounding countryside.
The treehouse includes a master double bedroom, a twin room, and an additional sleeping area, as well as a kitchen, dining area, and a living room with a wood-burning stove for warmth during colder days.
Outdoors, guests can make use of a sheltered kitchen and dining area with a barbecue and relax in a wood-fired hot tub. Guests can descend from the treehouse via stairs or a slide.
According to The Irish Sun, the site also offers Safari Tents described as the “ultimate in glamping luxury.” Each tent includes mains electricity, WiFi, flat-screen TVs, indoor shower rooms, and electric hot tubs.
Traditional-style yurts inspired by Mongolian design provide another accommodation option, each with a private outdoor space. Shared facilities include a covered camp kitchen equipped with a gas ring cooker, pizza oven, and fire pit, along with a stargazing bench for evening relaxation.
Families visiting Florence Springs can make use of a recently added outdoor play area that features climbing equipment and tire swings.
In addition, the nearby Heatherton World of Activities—just a short walk away—offers more than 25 recreational options, including go-karts, archery, adventure golf, and treetop trails.
Day passes start at £19.85 for six credits per person, and Florence Springs guests receive a 10% discount.
For business owners in the outdoor hospitality sector, Florence Springs demonstrates how glamping sites can extend the tourism season by offering comfortable, weather-proof amenities and family-friendly attractions.
Its blend of nature-based accommodation and proximity to local attractions highlights the potential for strategic diversification to appeal to year-round travelers.
As of October, a seven-night stay in a Safari Tent accommodating up to six guests is priced at £455, while a similar stay in the Cuckoo’s Nest Treehouse costs £785.
