EV Charging, Accessibility, and Hybrid Stays Define Brynteg Glamping’s Approach

Brynteg Glamping in Anglesey, North Wales, has expanded its offering to include luxury glamping pods, self-catering cottages, and touring caravan pitches, positioning itself as a destination that blends traditional touring with newer accommodation models.

Located on the island’s north coast near Benllech, the site provides access to both quiet countryside breaks and nearby beaches within a ten-minute drive.

The business was founded after its owners relocated in 2015, when they purchased Ysgubor Fadog and began developing the site.

“We fell in love with North Wales and Anglesey in particular when our children were young. In 2015, we found our piece of heaven, Ysgubor Fadog, and relocated to live a dream of a life less hassled,” the owners said on their website. After three years of development, Brynteg Glamping opened to guests.

Facilities include a shower and toilet block with wheelchair access, a washing machine, electric vehicle charging points, and ample parking.

Guests can also use a purpose-built BBQ hut designed for shared grilling experiences, as well as a coffee machine on site. Touring caravan and motorhome visitors have access to hard-standing serviced pitches with water, electricity, and grey waste hook-ups.

The site currently offers four types of glamping accommodation, each sleeping between one and four people. Some are pet-friendly, and all come equipped with bedding, towels, and basic cooking equipment.

Hot tubs are available in certain units and are wood-fired, requiring guest operation. Family and friend groups are welcome, though hen and stag parties are not permitted.

For outdoor hospitality professionals, Brynteg Glamping’s approach reflects broader industry trends, where diversification and accessibility are becoming critical to maintaining competitiveness.

By offering a mix of glamping units, touring pitches, and self-catering accommodation, the site appeals to a wider demographic while maximizing occupancy opportunities.

The addition of electric vehicle charging facilities also positions the business to meet shifting guest expectations as sustainable travel becomes more mainstream.

While Brynteg Glamping does not provide on-site catering, it directs guests to local dining options, highlighting an opportunity for cross-promotion with regional businesses.

This type of collaboration is increasingly important for operators seeking to build relationships with local suppliers and strengthen their role in the wider visitor economy.
