Eden Valley Holiday Park in Cornwall has been named one of the UK’s joint-best adults-only campsites, sharing the recognition with Colemere Caravan Park in Ellesmere, Shropshire. The ranking was released by GO Outdoors as part of its 2025 list of the country’s top adults-only sites.
The list was compiled using several factors, including the price of a three-night stay, availability of on-site shops, visitor recommendations, and the number of nearby outdoor activities within a 10-kilometre radius.
In its summary, GO Outdoors highlighted Eden Valley Holiday Park’s location and facilities.
“Eden Valley Holiday Park is situated in Bodmin, one of Cornwall’s oldest towns. The site is rated 4.92 out of five, and 100% of its previous visitors recommend staying there,” the site stated.
On-site facilities include shower and toilet blocks, a laundrette, and a games room, with pubs such as The Crown Inn and The Kings Arms located nearby. A three-night stay in July costs about £90, according to The Packet.
The site’s central position in Bodmin was also noted as a benefit for visitors exploring Cornwall, with easy access to cycle trails, Bodmin Railway, Bodmin Keep, and Bodmin Jail.
Guest feedback has reinforced the park’s reputation, with visitors praising its maintenance and amenities.
One reviewer described it as “probably one of the best sites we have visited. Immaculate, peaceful, and close to a wonderful pub. Perfect facilities and simply couldn’t find fault. Will be back very soon.”
Another wrote, “The site is spotless, peaceful, and wonderfully maintained… All areas of the site are perfectly functional and include a laundry room with clothes washing and drying facilities, an ironing board, a library, freezer, and a games room.”
For professionals in the outdoor hospitality sector, the recognition highlights the growing demand for adults-only camping experiences in the UK.
The ranking criteria, emphasizing affordability, accessibility to activities, and consistent guest satisfaction, underscore the factors that can influence consumer choice.
Park operators may find opportunities in tailoring offerings to niche markets, such as adults-only stays, where guests often prioritize peace, quality facilities, and proximity to cultural or recreational attractions.
