Dorset, along with New Forest accommodation provider Shorefield Holidays, is named among the winners of the British Travel Awards 2022, according to a report by Yahoo Sports UK.
Shorefield Holidays was awarded a Silver Accreditation for the Best UK Holiday Parks & Lodges Company.
Founded in 1958, Shorefield has nine parks spread across two counties, including the parks of Swanage and Wimborne.
The annual awards ceremony was held in London’s Battersea Evolution last November 29 and was hosted by The Morning’s Alison Hammond. The evening celebrated the tourism and travel industry with the highest level of products and customer service.
The family-owned business is one of the region’s biggest hotel and travel operators, with around 100,00 people every year.
Simon Pollock, managing director of Shorefield Holidays Limited, said they’re truly delighted and grateful to be awarded this award from the British Travel Awards, as the people chose it.
It was a huge honor for them that their team’s constant dedication, hard work, and dedication have been recognized by their industry peers, not just by them but by their wonderful guests.
He also said this award goes a long way to recognize all their fantastic teams across their parks after an unprecedented few years.
