Center Parcs Expands UK Lodging with Woodland and Grand Forest Lodges

Center Parcs has introduced two new lodge types at its Sherwood Forest and Whinfell Forest locations, expanding its accommodation offering ahead of the autumn and winter season.

The Woodland Premium Lodge and Grand Forest Lodge are now open for bookings in two-, three-, and four-bedroom layouts.

The Woodland Premium Lodge features a private patio with outdoor dining space, a fully equipped kitchen with an induction hob and undercounter fridge-freezer, and blackout curtains for improved sleep.

An electric flame-effect fire is included for colder months, while the layout is designed to accommodate couples, families, and small groups.

The Grand Forest Lodge offers a higher-spec alternative, also available in two-, three-, and four-bedroom versions. Each bedroom includes an ensuite bathroom, and the outdoor area features a heated pergola for year-round use.

Fully furnished decks include a bar, a football table, and bean bags. A designated “snuggle pod” provides an indoor relaxation space with an interactive games screen and colour-changing mood lighting.

Alistair Taylor, director of accommodation at Center Parcs, told the Express

“We know how important the lodge spaces are for families coming together, so whether it’s the upgraded interiors or innovative outdoor features, every detail has been carefully selected to enhance our guests’ experience.”

”We’re also staying true to the natural feel that makes a Center Parcs break unique for all ages, bringing the lodge experience to the centre of guests’ world.”

For business owners in the outdoor hospitality industry, this expansion reflects an increasing consumer demand for accommodation that blends natural settings with high-end amenities.

Center Parcs’ investment in both functional and leisure-focused features highlights a growing trend where holiday parks diversify their offerings to appeal to guests seeking comfort without sacrificing a connection to nature.

Operators considering upgrades or new builds may find opportunities in integrating multi-season outdoor spaces, flexible bedroom configurations, and dedicated recreational areas to broaden their market appeal.
