Caravan Parks Report Strong Leads from Salop Leisure’s Showcase Weekends

Caravan holiday home parks across the Heart of England and Mid Wales have seen increased interest and sales activity this summer, bolstered by a series of Holiday Home Showcase weekends organized by Salop Leisure, a major regional dealership based in Emstrey, Shrewsbury.

Running from May 9 and concluding on Sunday, the event has drawn both first-time buyers and existing owners interested in upgrading to a new caravan holiday home or lodge.

Salop Leisure, which collaborates with over 250 holiday home parks — more than 50 of which hold five-star ratings — hosted the events at its Holiday Home Village.

There, owners and managers from various inland and coastal holiday parks were available to meet with prospective buyers, answer questions, and guide them through ownership options tailored to their location preferences.

David Jones from Hidden Valley Holiday Home Park near Guilsfield reported a positive outcome from the event. “It has been an encouraging showcase for us, as a number of people have come out to view the park,” he said.

“We have secured two sales with more in the pipeline, hopefully. There has definitely been an upturn in enquiries in the last couple of weeks.”

He credited Salop Leisure for their active role in supporting local parks, saying, “Other dealerships don’t do what they do to market and support the parks.”

Similarly, Karen Rees of Gellidywyll Holiday Home Park in Llandinam, which has operated under family management since 1990, noted, “We have met a number of potential buyers at the Holiday Home Showcase weekends.”

She added, “I always attend Salop Leisure’s shows and always get something back from it, even if it’s a few months later.”

Salop Leisure’s current display includes 60 of the latest models, with staff available to guide customers through the selection and purchase process.

Laura Harris, associate director of marketing and holiday homes sales, said the showcase had been a success, resulting in sales and site visits across the Heart of England and Mid Wales.

“We can offer coastal, countryside, family-friendly and luxury lifestyle options and pride ourselves on being a trusted regional hub for holiday home discovery and expert advice,” she told News from Wales.

For park operators and holiday home businesses, the showcase serves as a practical model of how strategic dealership partnerships can drive awareness, facilitate buyer introductions, and increase occupancy.

With demand for staycations still strong in the UK, regional events such as these offer a route to market exposure and customer engagement that goes beyond digital listings or passive advertising.
