The Caravan and Motorhome Club has announced the launch of its 2025–2026 Overseas Winter Sun programme, which opens for bookings on 1 July 2025.
The programme is designed for long-stay holidays in Spain and Portugal, offering members extended access to warmer destinations through the winter months, with rates beginning at £15 per night for two adults.
The initiative targets a range of holidaymakers, from seasoned “snowbirds” to those seeking their first winter abroad.
According to a press release, the programme includes access to 50 winter-open campsites across Spain and Portugal, with options varying from small traditional parks to large resort-style facilities.
Members have the option to join hosted holidays with Club volunteer hosts on-site, offering activities such as local excursions, group dinners, quiz nights, and recreational games.
Among the hosted holiday offerings are four rally sites in Spain, two of which are new for the 2025–2026 season.
Taiga Puerto Santa Maria in Cádiz will run from 11 January to 29 March 2026 and offers 30 rally pitches at prices starting from £18.75 per pitch per night. The site is situated near the beach and close to regional wineries and a ferry to Cádiz.
The second new site, Alannia Els Prats in Tarragona, also runs from 11 January to 29 March 2026 with 50 rally pitches available at £15.00 per pitch per night. This location features sports facilities and offers cultural excursions to Tarragona.
Returning rally sites include La Media Legua in Benidorm, which also runs from 11 January to 29 March 2026 and offers 50 rally pitches priced from £19.75 per night.
The site is noted for its proximity to Benidorm, Altea, and L’Albir resort. Alannia Costa Blanca in Crevillent, running from 14 December 2025 to 29 March 2026, offers 194 rally pitches starting at £15.50 per night and includes a range of amenities such as an indoor pool, spa, and clubhouse.
An escorted tour along Spain’s East Coast is also available, departing on 24 April 2026. This 24-night itinerary takes guests from Alicante to Barcelona and includes site stays at Alannia Costa Blanca, Bonterra Park, and Vilanova Park.
The tour will feature visits to Peñíscola, the UNESCO town of Elche, the Caves of San Josep, and local agricultural and wine sites. Prices start at £1,899 per person.
Additional benefits for Club members include discounted ferry crossings—such as 10% off Dover and Le Shuttle routes—and direct sailings to Spain with Brittany Ferries.
The Club’s Red Pennant Emergency Assistance plan continues to offer tailored coverage for caravanners and motorhomers, including European breakdown support and travel insurance for both single and multi-trip holidays.
For professionals in the outdoor hospitality industry, particularly those operating parks or resorts catering to international visitors or long-term guests, this programme illustrates growing demand for off-season travel and structured long-stay experiences.
It highlights the importance of amenities, on-site engagement, and regional accessibility in attracting seasonal visitors, and it offers a model for developing similar hosted holiday experiences domestically or abroad.
