Blackpool’s Marton Mere Holiday Park (United Kingdom) in Haven has launched new activities after making a £3.5 million investment over the winter.
The big renovations cover various indoor and outdoor facilities, as well as new accommodation. Marton mere now hosts “The Jump,” which is a freefall experience for thrill seekers to drop from two different height platforms onto an airbag, according to a report.
The activities also include new climbing walls, a golf course, and segways.
Marton Mere allows guests to book caravans and lodges from their Haven site which also features a Burger King, outdoor play areas, and an outdoor SplashZone.
The new high adrenaline activities were launched yesterday in the company of Olympic gold medallist Will Satch MBE.
“I’m such a big fan of adrenaline-filled experiences so for me, even on a holiday I want to be active. There is so much to do and even as an adult these activities are tons of fun, so I can definitely see why children are eager to try it this summer,” the Team GB rower said.
The new Marton Mere activities came just in time for the long summer holidays. Guests can roam around the park on segways or bikes while challenging themselves on the climbing wall.
“It was amazing to see so many people supporting the launch of our new activities today. We’re very happy to be able to bring these fun and exciting additions to the park and we can’t wait to see our guests enjoying them throughout the summer,” said Keith Robson, general manager at Marton Mere.
Besides the new activities, Marton Mere also invested in over 70 new pitches for holiday homes elsewhere in the park, as well as a new location in Lakemere View near the Marton Mere nature reserve.
