Allens Caravans has announced a series of upgrades across its holiday parks in the UK as part of a multi-million-pound investment aimed at enhancing facilities and diversifying accommodation offerings for guests.
The group, one of the UK’s longest-running family-owned park operators, has begun rolling out developments at several sites in both coastal and countryside locations.
At Abbots Salford in Worcestershire, upgrades include the addition of new lodge accommodations, enhancements to the fishing lake, and refreshed facilities.
The main clubhouse has seen partial refurbishment with the addition of a new food and drink offering, a dedicated Owners’ Lounge, new pool tables, a children’s outdoor play area, and an updated entertainment programme.
Meanwhile, at Bredon View in the Cotswolds, guests will soon have access to new outdoor activities, including croquet and bike hire, aligning with the site’s natural surroundings and golf course setting.
In Wales, coastal locations Sunbeach and Aber Bay are introducing new glamping pods designed to accommodate up to six guests. These units offer boutique-style interiors and private hot tubs.
Sunbeach has also launched a new adventure golf course and refreshed its clubhouse. At Aber Bay, developments include an upcoming sky terrace, a beachfront food truck, and a new camping field expected to open in time for August holidaymakers.
Overstone Lakes in Northamptonshire is developing 21 new luxury holiday homes, with prices starting at £260,000 for a two-bedroom Willerby Forest model.
The site will also introduce an improved clubhouse, an outdoor container bar and stage for live performances, a new enclosed dog walking area, and upgrades to the pool facilities, including the changing room and poolside bar.
James Allen, CEO of Allens Caravans, emphasized the importance of preserving the parks’ natural aesthetics while modernizing amenities.
“We have made it a priority that all of the new developments, however sizeable, blend harmoniously with the surrounding countryside, staying true to the natural charm of the parks,” he told The Sun.
We’ve always been committed to creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for our residents, and this latest investment is a reflection of that commitment.”
For operators in the outdoor hospitality industry, the developments illustrate a continued trend toward diversifying accommodation types and enhancing on-site amenities to meet evolving guest expectations.
Features such as glamping pods with private hot tubs, expanded entertainment programming, and outdoor leisure enhancements reflect market demand for experiential travel and higher-quality infrastructure.
Holidaymakers booking through Hoseasons can take advantage of offers at Allens Caravans parks, with seven-night stays starting at £199 for a three-bedroom caravan at Sunbeach.
Nautical Pods with hot tubs are available from £405, and stays at Aber Bay begin at £265. A promotional offer of up to £350 off summer breaks is available for bookings made before July 2, for travel between June 17 and September 20.
