AA Caravan & Camping Awards Announce 2025-26 Winners Across the UK

The AA Caravan & Camping Awards has announced the top camping and glamping destinations across the United Kingdom for the 2025–2026 season, recognizing sites that demonstrate excellence in quality, sustainability, and visitor experience.

Now in its 58th year, the awards highlight 13 standout locations from across the country, chosen by the AA’s team of expert inspectors.

Winners were selected across national and regional categories, including England, Scotland, and Wales, as well as in specialist divisions such as Glamping Site of the Year, Sustainable Park, and Most Improved Campsite.

The title of AA Campsite of the Year for England was awarded to St Helens in the Park, a family- and dog-friendly site situated near Scarborough in North Yorkshire.

Located on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, it offers countryside tranquility within a short drive of the coast. Ballater Caravan Park, a community-run site along the River Dee in Aberdeenshire, received the award for Scotland, while Riverside Camping in Gwynedd took home the top honor for Wales.

For glamping enthusiasts, Camp de Rêves in Guernsey, Channel Islands, was named the AA Glamping Site of the Year. The site overlooks the island’s west coast beaches and emphasizes eco-friendly design.

Eye Kettleby Lakes in Leicestershire earned the Most Improved Campsite of the Year award, recognized for its 150-acre countryside setting and 130 all-weather pitches.

Additional honors went to Hallsdown Farm Touring Park in Devon, named AA Small Campsite of the Year, and Hopton Holiday Village in Norfolk, which received the AA Holiday Park of the Year title.

According to Daily Mail, the awards coincide with growing consumer interest in nature-based tourism. Expedia’s annual Unpack ’26 report found that 84 percent of travelers are interested in “slow travel” experiences, including farm stays and rural escapes.

Mentions of farm-related experiences in Vrbo guest reviews have risen by 300 percent year-over-year, suggesting that demand for peaceful outdoor accommodations continues to rise.

Simon Numphud, Managing Director at AA Media, said: “British caravan and camping has never been more inspiring with parks across the country offering something truly special, from peaceful rural escapes to unforgettable coastal views.”

”This year’s winners highlight the incredible variety and quality of outdoor stays in the UK, where passion, creativity, and care combine to give holidaymakers experiences they’ll treasure. Congratulations to all the winners and their teams.”

All winners will be featured in the 58th edition of the AA Caravan & Camping Guide, available for purchase in bookshops starting November 6, 2025, for £14.99.

For business owners in the outdoor hospitality industry, the awards offer insight into the standards and trends shaping the UK market.

The recognition of sustainability, community-led management, and diversified accommodation options reflects growing traveler demand for authenticity and environmental responsibility—factors that can help operators attract and retain guests in a competitive landscape.
