2025 Caravan and Motorhome Club Awards Highlight Industry Innovations

The results of the 2025 Caravan and Motorhome Club Motorhome and Campervan Design Awards, alongside the Lightweight Leisure Awards, have been announced, recognizing innovation and quality in the industry

This year’s awards introduced a new category evaluating roof tents alongside trailer tents, reflecting the growing interest in versatile and lightweight touring solutions.

The judging process combined extensive pre-show evaluations with in-person assessments at the Caravan, Camping & Motorhome Show at the NEC.

Ninety-two motorhome and campervan entries were scrutinized, while 28 lightweight leisure vehicles underwent assessment, as per a press release.

Industry professionals can look to these awards as an indicator of trends and consumer preferences, offering valuable insight into features that enhance touring experiences.

A panel of experienced judges, including industry writers, engineers, and long-time touring enthusiasts, dedicated over 1,000 hours to evaluating entries based on comprehensive criteria.

Motorhome and campervan assessments covered key factors such as security, electrics, solar panels, kitchen and washroom facilities, heating systems, and entertainment features.

Judges also considered technical specifications, ISOfix points, seat belt provisions, and driver assistance technologies. Lightweight leisure vehicles were evaluated on weight, thermal insulation, setup efficiency, and overall build quality.

The rigorous judging process ensures that winning models stand out in an increasingly competitive market.

For manufacturers and dealers, the results provide a benchmark for customer expectations and industry standards.

Nick Lomas, director general of the Caravan and Motorhome Club, emphasized the significance of these awards, stating:

“Our sincere congratulations go to all the winners in the Motorhome and Campervan Design Awards and the Lightweight Leisure Awards. We would like to thank our industry colleagues for their continued support of these awards.”

As consumer interest in flexible and sustainable travel solutions continues to rise, the insights from these awards offer manufacturers and park operators a roadmap for innovation.

The increasing presence of roof tents and all-wheel-drive van conversions highlights a shift toward off-grid and adventure-oriented travel.

Businesses in the outdoor hospitality sector may find opportunities to cater to these emerging preferences, whether through tailored amenities, rental offerings, or partnerships with manufacturers.

The full list of winners and entrants is available through the Caravan and Motorhome Club, providing industry professionals with a valuable resource for understanding the latest advancements in touring vehicle design.
