The 38th International Caravanning Exhibition will take place from October 11 to 19, 2025, at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue, highlighting technology, sustainability, and accessibility as central themes shaping the sector.
Organized by Fira de Barcelona with support from the Spanish Association of the Caravanning Industry and Commerce (ASEICAR) and the Catalonia’s Caravaning Business Association (GREMCAR), the event will showcase more than 700 vehicle models across 34,000 square meters of exhibition space.
For industry leaders, the exhibition is a stage to observe evolving consumer expectations and to showcase innovations that address safety, comfort, and adaptability.
According to José Manuel Jurado, president of ASEICAR and co-president of the Organizing Committee of the Caravaning Show, itinerant tourism is “the most innovative phenomenon that currently energizes the sector.”
The diversity of consumer profiles—from families seeking alternative holidays to outdoor enthusiasts and travelers favoring short, spontaneous getaways—has translated into a demand for products that improve the overall travel experience.
As GREMCAR head and co-president of the Organizing Committee, Susana Colom explained, the challenge lies in “improving the travel experience in a broad sense.”
Exhibitors will present digital and connected systems, including intelligent controls for lighting, heating, and water management, which can be integrated into both new and existing caravans.
Vehicle interiors are also evolving, with layouts designed for greater comfort and functionality. Features such as modular bathrooms, L-shaped kitchens, facing seating, and separate driver’s cabs are becoming more common.
Sustainability will be another focal point, with manufacturers increasingly investing in electrified and hybrid models. These options reflect the industry’s response to growing demand for eco-friendly travel and align with caravanning’s traditional appeal of a close connection to nature.
The exhibition will also emphasize accessibility for newcomers. Camper van conversions, mini-caravans, and entry-level models—some priced under €20,000—are expected to draw attention from younger buyers and first-time participants.
Rental models and financing solutions will also be highlighted as the industry seeks to broaden its reach.
For business owners in the outdoor hospitality, RV, and caravan sectors, the event signals shifts that could influence rental fleets, campground amenities, and partnerships with manufacturers.
As consumer interest grows in connected, flexible, and sustainable travel solutions, operators may find opportunities to align their offerings with these trends to remain competitive.
In addition to vehicle displays, the event will feature presentations and advisory sessions designed to provide visitors with information about new technologies, financing models, and business strategies.
