The Girona Campsites Association will host the 7th edition of the Girocamping PRO Congress on September 25, 2025, at the Espai Ter Auditorium Theatre in Torroella de Montgrí.
The annual congress, dedicated to the camping sector, is expected to draw professionals from across tourism-related industries for a program of presentations and roundtable discussions.
This year’s theme, “Anticipate and protect: key in the management of safety in campsites,” will highlight preventive measures and new technologies designed to maintain and enhance safety standards.
Organizers describe the event as a forum to exchange good practices and innovations that contribute to quality operations and guest confidence in the camping sector.
Attendance will be reserved for tourism agents, including accommodation providers, tourism companies, and public tourism administration.
Supplier participation will be restricted to those with networking space agreements, underscoring the congress’s focus on collaboration among operators and policymakers.
The Girona Campsites Association has emphasized sustainability in planning the congress. In partnership with the Pioneers Of Our Time Foundation, the association will track the carbon footprint generated by attendees.
A report will be prepared, and participants will have the option of offsetting their impact by purchasing climate credits that support environmental transition projects.
Organizers are also encouraging practical measures such as carpooling, waste separation, and efficient water use to reduce the event’s environmental footprint.

Alongside the congress, the Girona Campsites Association will host the annual “Night of the Girona Campsites” at the Hotel Terraverda in Empordà Golf de Gualta.
The gala will bring together companies, suppliers, and public administration representatives in a formal setting and will feature the presentation of the Jaume Genover i Roig Award, the Josep Suñé i Sabadí Award, the Girocamping Award, and the Campsite of the Year Award.
Last year’s honorees included Joan Carles Alcántara, Antoni Castellar, Darnés Grup, and Càmping & Bungalow Resort & SPA La Ballena Alegre.
