Caravaning 2025 to Spotlight Sustainability, Smart Technology, and New Traveler Demographics

The 38th International Caravanning Exhibition, known as Caravaning 2025, will take place from October 11 to 19 at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue.

Organized by Fira de Barcelona with the support of the Spanish Association of the Caravanning Industry and Commerce (ASEICAR) and the Gremi d’Empresaris del Caravaning de Catalunya (GREMCAR), the event will showcase more than 700 vehicle models and feature 180 exhibiting companies across 34,000 square meters of exhibition space.

This year’s edition will focus on sustainability, digitalization, and the diversification of caravanning audiences.

The exhibition will highlight the growing role of smart, hybrid, and camperized caravans as manufacturers continue to adapt to evolving traveler expectations and environmental priorities.

As the popularity of experiential tourism and nature-based travel continues to rise, organizers expect a strong turnout from both industry professionals and consumers.

Participating brands include leading names such as Adria, Benimar, Caravelair, Carthago, Concorde, Dethleffs, Ford, Hymer, Knaus, Mercedes, Nissan, Rapido, Volkswagen, and many others.

Beyond vehicles, Caravaning 2025 will feature spaces dedicated to camper conversions, rental services, outdoor gear, accessories, and compact units such as tiny houses and mini-caravans—segments that appeal to newcomers and younger travelers entering the market.

According to José Manuel Jurado, president of ASEICAR and co-president of the Organising Committee, “the Caravanning Show will once again be the main platform to discover the latest trends in the sector, a catalyst to boost its sales and a meeting point that will attract thousands of fans from all over Spain.”

Co-president Susana Colom of GREMCAR added that “this year we want to continue adding new users and, especially, young families, to further extend the love of nature tourism.”

In addition to the commercial showcase, the event will feature the Travelvaning space—an area dedicated to knowledge sharing, with conferences, panels, and presentations addressing emerging trends in the caravanning industry.

Experts from the virtual forum AC Pasión will also provide personalized guidance to visitors.

For younger attendees, the Caravaning Kids area, redesigned by social cooperative Tata Inti, will offer an inclusive and sustainable play environment that promotes environmental awareness and creativity.

A dedicated parking area for visitors arriving with their own caravans or campervans will also be available, underscoring the event’s focus on accessibility and convenience.

For business owners and operators in the outdoor hospitality sector, Caravaning 2025 presents an opportunity to explore developments shaping consumer preferences, from electrified and digitalized caravans to modular designs that cater to flexible travel styles.

The event’s emphasis on sustainable and connected technologies may signal the direction of future investments in both caravan manufacturing and tourism infrastructure across Europe.
