Schloss Thurn Adventure Park Launches New Glamping Site in Heroldsbach

A new glamping site has opened this year in Heroldsbach, Germany, next to the Schloss Thurn Adventure Park, expanding accommodation options for visitors to the region.

The site, designed for motorhome travelers and glamping guests, aims to attract families and couples seeking a nature-based stay with modern amenities.

The adventure park, which has operated since 1975, is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. until October 19, 2025. It offers visitors a range of shows and rides, and now, with the adjacent glamping site, overnight guests have new ways to extend their visit.

The safari-style tents come equipped with kitchens, toilets, dining areas, and beds, offering a higher level of comfort than traditional camping.

According to inFranken.de, demand has been strong in the first season, with limited availability on weekends and during school holidays.

The site is expected to become greener over time, with landscaping designed to enhance the outdoor experience. In addition to accommodation, guests can access activities such as boat rides near the castle and play areas for children.

Motorhome pitches start at €22.50 per night, while safari tents begin at €103.50 per night. Additional guests can be added for €4.50 per person, per night. The site also includes features aimed at pet owners, such as fenced pitches and dog showers.

Check-in is available from 12 p.m. for pitches and between 3 and 6 p.m. for safari lodges, with a self-service check-in machine available outside regular hours.

Guests of the campsite benefit from reduced admission to the adventure park, with day tickets starting at €29.90 per person—about €8 less than the standard price. An opening discount is currently available, further lowering costs for early visitors.

For business owners in the outdoor hospitality sector, the Heroldsbach project reflects the growing demand for glamping experiences that merge convenience with proximity to attractions.

The model demonstrates how pairing lodging with existing entertainment venues can generate new revenue streams, attract longer stays, and broaden visitor demographics.

As glamping continues to gain traction across Europe, similar integrations may offer opportunities for parks, campgrounds, and destination managers seeking to diversify offerings and enhance regional tourism.
