SETT 2025 to Showcase Over 300 Innovations, Including AI and Next-Gen Mobile Homes

The Salon Européen des Tendances Touristiques (SETT), formerly known as the Salon des Équipements et Techniques du Tourisme, will return from November 4 to 6, in Montpellier, France.

Now operating under a new name while retaining its established acronym, SETT is emphasizing a forward-looking, European-oriented identity aimed at showcasing tourism trends and innovation across the outdoor hospitality sector.

Organized by the Fédération de l’Hôtellerie de Plein Air Occitanie and supported by six other regional federations—Auvergne, Bourgogne Franche-Comté, Corsica, Limousin, Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur, and Rhône-Alpes—the trade fair has served professionals in outdoor hospitality since its founding in 1978 by the Languedoc-Roussillon federation.

Over time, it has expanded its reach beyond France, drawing more than 10% of its attendees from international markets, particularly southern European countries such as Spain, Italy, and Portugal.

In recent years, SETT has strengthened its European focus. At the 2024 edition, the fair hosted a panel discussion titled “Travailler ensemble au niveau européen” (“Working Together at the European Level”), featuring representatives from camping and outdoor hospitality federations in the UK, Portugal, and Luxembourg.

This initiative reflects the event’s intent to grow its visibility in new strategic markets, including Germany, the Netherlands, and Northern Europe, which are seen as offering strong potential for future growth.

Positioning itself as a laboratory for emerging trends in tourism, the event annually presents more than 300 innovations, with a particular spotlight on technology.

The 2025 edition is expected to feature next-generation mobile homes, a broad range of digital solutions, and applications of artificial intelligence. The SETT d’Or competition continues to highlight standout products and services in this space.

Organizers suggest this year’s offerings will underline the increasing dynamism and strategic importance of the outdoor hospitality sector, which now surpasses traditional hospitality in bed capacity and investment levels.

SETT has also adopted sustainability practices, earning the LEAD eco-label from Green Events and SGS, along with a bronze certification in October 2023. This aligns with growing industry efforts to balance operational development with environmental responsibility.

For business owners and decision-makers in the camping, glamping, RV, and broader tourism industries, SETT represents a practical opportunity to explore market-ready innovations, build partnerships, and gain insight into shifting consumer expectations. The detailed 2025 conference program is expected to be released in the coming weeks, as per a press release.
