German RV manufacturer Carado has unveiled its 2026 campervan lineup, led by the launch of the new CV541 PRO — a redesigned model that introduces a unique layout influenced by vanlife culture and self-build conversions.
According to a news article by Out & About Live, while the new camper shares the same footprint as the existing CV540, the CV541 PRO reimagines the interior to create a more distinct separation between the driving and living zones.
The layout includes a washroom with a folding sink, a fixed staircase with integrated storage that leads to a sleeping area in the pop-top roof, and a raised seating area at the rear.
Additional storage space is located under the platform, and a tall, slimline wardrobe has been added to maximize utility.
Designed with flexibility in mind, the CV541 PRO reflects a growing trend among RV enthusiasts who seek practical, modular layouts reminiscent of DIY van conversions.
The layout changes aim to increase comfort, convenience, and interior definition for both solo travelers and couples.
Carado also announced that optional solar panel modules will be available on selected 2026 models to support off-grid camping, though this feature will not be compatible with units equipped with a pop-top roof.
Beyond the CV541 PRO, the full 2026 Carado lineup includes new floor plans and upgraded equipment across its campervan and motorhome ranges.
These updates cater to a wide spectrum of users, from solo adventurers to families, with models ranging from compact to spacious layouts.
The new offerings will begin rolling out across Europe soon, with UK availability through authorized Carado dealers.
As part of the Erwin Hymer Group — itself a subsidiary of U.S.-based Thor Industries — Carado serves as an entry-level brand focused on affordability and functionality.
The introduction of the CV541 PRO highlights the increasing influence of the vanlife movement on traditional RV design.
This shift underscores a broader industry trend toward personalization, flexible interiors, and the growing demand for compact, self-sufficient vehicles that appeal to both seasoned travelers and new entrants in the outdoor recreation market.
