Thousand Trails has kicked off its annual #100DaysofCamping campaign, encouraging guests to embrace outdoor experiences between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day.
The initiative, now in its 10th year, celebrates the traditional summer camping season with social media engagement and a photo contest offering a range of prizes.
Launched in 2015, the campaign highlights approximately 100 days of prime outdoor recreation and invites guests to make the most of summer through camping trips at Thousand Trails’ network of campgrounds across North America.
The campaign officially began over Memorial Day weekend.
Campers checking into participating locations receive a rally towel and are encouraged to post camping photos featuring the towel to Instagram using the hashtag #100DaysofCamping.
Photos can also be uploaded directly to www.100DaysofCamping.com, entering participants into a drawing for a grand prize package.
This year’s prize bundle is valued at approximately $2,325 and includes a Coleman dinnerware set, Solo Stove bonfire, GCI Kickback rocker chair, Rumpl camping blanket, Thousand Trails Yeti mug and belt bag, and a complimentary Five Region Thousand Trails Camping Pass with The Trails Collection.
“Our Thousand Trails campgrounds offer events and activities all year long, but since 2015 the #100DaysofCamping movement has provided a little extra excitement during these 100 days of summer,” Pat Zamora, spokesperson for Thousand Trails, said in a press release.
“By creating meaningful experiences and inspiring guests to make their camping moment count, we’re helping make this camping season and these next 100 days truly memorable,” Zamora added.
The campaign is designed to engage campers online and on-site, driving brand visibility through user-generated content while fostering loyalty among returning guests.
It also serves as a marketing tool for Thousand Trails to reach new audiences through social media channels.
Owned by Equity LifeStyle Properties, Thousand Trails operates more than 80 campgrounds and RV resorts across 23 states and British Columbia, offering outdoor accommodations and amenities aimed at recreational vehicle travelers and vacationers.
The program is also a touchpoint for campground operators and industry stakeholders looking to align their services with evolving consumer preferences. Promotions like #100DaysofCamping offer insight into how brands can incentivize guest participation and
