Camp Under Colorful Leaves at Buffalo Pound Park This Fall

Buffalo Pound Provincial Park in Saskatchewan has opened its gates for the fall camping season, offering visitors a serene autumn getaway through October 31st. The park’s 300 campsites are available for online reservation, allowing campers to secure their spots in advance according to an article by Moose Jaw Today.

As of October 1, the park operates with reduced services. Power and water are unavailable, but firewood is provided from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at no additional cost. While showers are closed, pit and portable toilets remain accessible. Campers are advised to verify the availability of amenities when making reservations, as these may vary by site.

Buffalo Pound Provincial Park’s fall camping experience offers unique opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Visitors can explore the Nicolle Flats Trail, known for its scenic views of the changing foliage. Buffalo Pound Lake continues to provide fishing and boating opportunities, with pike and walleye being popular catches among anglers.

To accommodate the seasonal changes, the park has implemented an adjusted rate structure. Both electric and non-electric sites are offered at a discount of $4 per night during the fall season. The park features 200 electric sites and 100 non-electric sites, providing options for various camping preferences. Standard rates for electric sites are typically $32 per night, while non-electric sites are $26, making the fall discount a significant saving for campers.
