RVDA of Canada Releases 2025 Compensation Study Results

The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada has released findings from its 2025 RV Industry Compensation Study, providing members with up-to-date information about pay and benefits across the Canadian RV dealership sector.

The study, conducted by The Portage Group, aims to help dealerships make informed decisions about workforce investment and operational strategies.

This year’s survey included data from 52 RV dealerships nationwide, covering 648 distinct roles and 879 employees.

The high participation rate reflects industry interest in using reliable data to attract and retain skilled workers.

“In today’s competitive landscape, access to accurate and comprehensive compensation data is paramount for our members’ success,” said Eleonore Hamm, president of the RVDA of Canada.

Hamm emphasized that the study’s findings equip dealers to build strong teams and maintain a competitive edge.

Dealerships that contributed to the survey will receive the full report, which contains detailed compensation figures, regional breakdowns, and demographic insights.

Key findings include department-specific pay benchmarks for service, sales, parts, administration, and rental.

Data covers base pay, commissions, and bonuses, offering a detailed view of total earnings by role.

The study also highlights variations in pay for critical positions such as RV Service Technicians, noting differences by province, dealership size, and employee experience level.

Beyond wages, the report provides information on benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and additional perks offered to staff in both management and non-management roles.

Participants can use the study’s operational benchmarks, including the national average retail shop rate and provincial comparisons, to adjust service pricing and plan business growth.

“This study is a testament to our industry’s collaborative spirit, providing the essential benchmarks dealerships need to attract and retain top talent. The level of detail available in the full report goes far beyond these highlights; it provides the specific, actionable intelligence our members need to make informed decisions about their workforce investments,” Hamm explained.
