Private Forest Tents and A-Frame Cabin Feature at Luna Dreki Retreat

A forested glamping retreat north of Toronto is expanding its visibility as a boutique outdoor accommodation option, offering Nordic-inspired wellness amenities and a mix of furnished bell tents and a micro A-frame cabin.

The property, known as Luna Dreki, sits on 10 acres of woodland behind an organic micro farm and features several endangered tree species and fungi, which the hosts highlight as part of the site’s natural appeal.

Located approximately 45 minutes from Toronto, the site includes a wood-fired sauna, hot tub, and cold-plunge area shared among guests. Four accommodation types are currently available: three 16-foot bell tents and a small A-frame cabin called The Crow’s Nest.

Each unit includes access to shared hot-water showers, flushing toilets, outdoor cooking facilities, and communal gathering spaces.

Fox’s Den, the largest bell tent, sleeps up to three adults and includes space for additional child-sized mattresses. The site sits in a private clearing with a hammock and seating area. Frog’s Lilypad, positioned farthest from the shared facilities, accommodates two guests and is surrounded by mature trees.

Owl’s Hollow, another two-person tent, is marketed for its proximity to evening owl activity within the surrounding forest. Each tent includes a queen-size bed with organic linens, a seating area, and access to the communal kitchen equipped with a grill, pizza oven, refrigerator, cookware, and dishwashing station.

The Crow’s Nest A-frame cabin is designed with a lift-up wall that opens to an outdoor sitting area. It contains a queen-size pillow-top bed and provides access to the same shared amenities, along with one complimentary bag of firewood and additional bundles available onsite for purchase.

The property does not offer Wi-Fi or laundry services but permits leashed pets. Owners emphasize simple infrastructure, minimal impact, and a nature-immersive experience.

For outdoor hospitality operators, Luna Dreki reflects ongoing demand for small-scale, wellness-oriented accommodations within driving distance of major urban centers.

The retreat highlights several trends shaping the sector, including Nordic spa-style amenities, low-density site planning, and the continued popularity of furnished canvas tents.

Operators looking to expand or diversify may find the model notable for its emphasis on shared facilities, upgraded bedding, and micro-lodging formats such as A-frames that require comparatively low utility infrastructure.
