Hidden Hilltop Family Campground in central Nova Scotia has released details of its 2025 season, highlighting a range of amenities, pricing options, and rental accommodations for visitors.
The park is located about 15 minutes from Truro and an hour’s drive from Halifax or Moncton, positioning it within reach of major regional markets.
The campground markets itself as “the place where kids want to take their parents,” a tagline that reflects its focus on family-friendly activities.
Seasonal offerings include a heated 30-by-60-foot pool with a slide, mini golf, wagon rides, arcade games, organized kids’ programs, and themed weekends tied to holidays such as Halloween, Easter, and Christmas. Daily activities include animal feeding, a bouncy pillow, and a soap slide.

Hidden Hilltop operates 270 campsites, offering a mix of unserviced and serviced sites with 20-amp and 30-amp hookups.
Daily rates for the 2025 season start at $43.47 plus tax for unserviced sites and $55.00 plus tax for 30-amp serviced sites. Discounts are available through “stay for four, pay for three” midweek offers.
The campground also offers on-site trailer rentals as an alternative for families without their own RVs. A 2013 trailer accommodating four people will rent for $770 per week (plus tax) between June 28 and September 2, with off-peak nightly rates at $110 plus tax.

A larger 2018 unit, which sleeps six, will be available during the same peak period at $910 per week (plus tax), with off-peak nightly rates at $130 plus tax.
Both trailers are equipped with kitchens, bathrooms, and entertainment amenities, though linens and food are not provided. Pets and smoking are prohibited in rental units.
Campground operators outline clear policies for deposits, cancellations, and visitor access. A $200 deposit is required at booking for trailer rentals, with an additional $200 security deposit taken upon check-in.

For business owners in the outdoor hospitality industry, Hidden Hilltop’s approach illustrates how mid-sized, independently operated campgrounds are expanding revenue streams.
By combining traditional sites with rental options, structured activities, and seasonal promotions, the park appeals to both short-term visitors and families seeking longer stays.
Operators may find value in examining how diversified activity schedules and mid-week discounting can drive occupancy outside of peak weekends, while rental accommodations create access points for non-RV owners.
