Kubasseks Water Front Retreat Showcases Value-Driven Camping Experience

Kubasseks Water Front Retreat in Ontario has been recognized among the best Hipcamps to visit in 2025, earning a place on both the national list of Canada’s top RV and van destinations and the provincial list of Ontario’s best camping spots.

Located on 100 acres of mostly forested land, the retreat provides campers with access to scenic trails and water-based activities just minutes from Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Woodstock, Brantford, and Guelph.

Major centers such as Toronto and London are about an hour’s drive away, making it a convenient getaway for urban travelers seeking outdoor recreation without venturing far north.

The property features five waterfront campsites situated around a large pond, accommodating a range of setups from tents to RVs up to 40 feet in length. Each site includes 15- or 30-amp electrical hookups, water connections, picnic tables, fire pits, and firewood.

Additional amenities include paddle boats and kayaks available at no charge, a catch-and-release fishing area that requires single barbless hooks, and a complimentary dozen farm-fresh eggs for guests.

Grocery stores are located within a 15-minute drive, and restaurants are accessible within five minutes of the property.

A two-night minimum booking applies to weekends during June, July, August, and September.

The sites are pet-friendly, with leashed pets required at campsites and some trails allowing off-leash access.

Each site also has an outhouse with a flushing toilet, catering to a broad spectrum of campers including those in travel trailers, fifth wheels, and campervans.

For professionals in the outdoor hospitality sector, Kubasseks Water Front Retreat reflects a growing trend among small-scale operators leveraging digital platforms like Hipcamp to attract regional tourism.

The retreat’s combination of proximity, rural charm, and added-value offerings—such as complimentary amenities and inclusive access to recreation—illustrates how operators can position their sites competitively without large-scale infrastructure.

Its recognition on Hipcamp’s 2025 lists highlights continued consumer interest in accessible, nature-based experiences that balance simplicity with comfort.
