Jonathan Stone, president and co-owner of Stone’s RV Centre in New Glasgow and Sydney, Nova Scotia, received the 2025 Canadian RV Dealer of the Year Award on November 12 during the RVDA of Canada Annual Meeting at the RV Dealers Convention/Expo in Las Vegas.
The award recognizes long-term dedication to the RV industry, leadership, and community engagement.
Stone accepted the Walter Paseska Memorial Canadian RV Dealer of the Year Award from Melanie Taylor of RV Lifestyle/Dealer News Magazine.
“I am truly humbled to receive the Canadian RV Dealer of the Year Award. This recognition is not just for me, but for my entire team, my family, and the many customers who have trusted and supported us over the years,” Stone said.
“Their dedication, loyalty, and passion are what make this possible, and I am proud to carry forward the legacy of service and commitment that my parents and grandfather began over 50 years ago,” Stone added.
The award is presented annually by the RVDA of Canada in partnership with RV Lifestyle Magazine and Dealer News. It honors individuals who demonstrate long-term industry dedication, promote the RV lifestyle, and contribute to their communities.
Established in 1989 in memory of Walt Paseska, founder of Walt’s Trailer Sales in Headingley, Manitoba, the award celebrates leaders whose commitment mirrors Paseska’s decades of service to the RV sector.
Recipients are selected based on four criteria: sustained dedication to the RV industry, active participation in provincial or national RVDA initiatives, recognition for integrity and credibility by peers and customers, and contributions to their communities.
Stone, a third-generation dealer, co-owns and manages Stone’s RV & Home Center with his sisters Chantal and Danielle. The family business also operates in the modular home market.
Founded more than 50 years ago by Stone’s parents, Kim and Anne Stone, along with grandfather Hector Stone, the company emphasizes trust, customer service, and community engagement.
As president, Stone oversees sales, customer service, and strategic partnerships across both RV and manufactured housing divisions, ensuring continuity of the family’s operational standards and legacy.
Stone represents Nova Scotia on the RVDA of Canada Board of Directors, contributing to national advocacy and industry best practices.
He also serves as a director of the Atlantic RV Dealers Association and Go RVing Canada and is a former president of the Manufactured Housing Association of Atlantic Canada.
Under his leadership, Stone’s RV Centre has earned regional recognition, including the 2013 Pictou County Chamber of Commerce Large Business of the Year Award. Stone’s father, Kim Stone, was the 2006 Canadian RV Dealer of the Year recipient.
This year’s award nominees included Marco and Mylaine Boudreault of E. Boudreault VR in Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec; Travis Bromley of Transcona Trailer Sales in Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Richard Taché of Earlton RV in Earlton, Ontario.
The RVDA of Canada is a national federation of provincial and regional RV dealer associations. The organization advocates for retail RV businesses, provides professional development, and delivers industry initiatives on behalf of its members.
