The BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) is nearing the end of its annual online auction, which benefits the Care Camps Foundation. The auction, which started on April 15, will conclude on May 20.
Care Camps Foundation, a national non-profit organization funds pediatric oncology camps across the United States and Canada.
In an exclusive email interview with Modern Campground, Alison Stovold, a Canadian associate at Care Camps Foundation, commended BCLCA for its fundraising efforts.
“We continue to be amazed by the passion and hard work the BCLCA puts towards their fundraising efforts on behalf of the Care Camps Foundation,” Stovold said.
Stovold highlighted the importance of partnerships in enabling the foundation to support camps that offer hope and healing to children and families affected by childhood cancer in Canada and the U.S.
The auction serves as a crucial part of BCLCA’s strategy to support charitable initiatives within the campground and outdoor hospitality sectors. In the past four years, the auction has raised nearly CA$15,000.
The success of the auction not only supports the children and families served by Care Camps but also provides benefits to the participating campgrounds and outdoor hospitality businesses by enhancing their community standing and demonstrating social responsibility.
The BCLCA and Care Camps Foundation encourage the community to support this vital initiative as the auction closes. For more information or to participate, visit the BCLCA website or contact Darlene Oswald at [email protected].
