Camping season is upon us! Outdoor enthusiasts in the Chilliwack (British Columbia, Canada) area get ready as Vedder River Campground opens reservations for the upcoming season.
The Vedder River Campground, managed by the Fraser Valley Regional District, opened its reservations for the 2023 camping yesterday, January 16.
“Online reservations are now OPEN! Some sites will not be available for reservations due to site improvements, but we hope to have them available soon,” Vedder River Campground posted on Facebook.
The campground, located just steps from the banks of the Vedder River, has made new improvements, including a new playground and updates to the basketball court and washrooms.
Rates at Vedder River Campground range from CA$36 for regular non-serviced sites to CA$90 per night for a large site with shelter and water.
There are options for tents, trailers, and RVs, with full or partial hookups and pull-through spots available. On-site amenities include washrooms, showers, fire pits, laundry facilities, a playground, a store, horseshoe pits, picnic tables, and a sani-dump. Pets are also welcome at the campground.
Nestled in the Fraser Valley along the Vedder River, the Vedder River Campground offers the ideal location for your next outdoor excursion. A quick 10-minute drive from Cultus Lake, families can take part in a range of activities, such as visiting the water park and adventure park or having a picnic on the beach.
Outdoor enthusiasts will find many options for adventure, with hiking, rafting, kayaking, and mountain biking all nearby.
BC Parks’ camping reservation system also began accepting reservations for a four-month window on January 3. The provincial agency also announced that it would unveil upgrades to its reservation system in 2023 to give campers a better user experience.
