The BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) and the Canadian Camping and RV Association (CCRVA) announced Peter Pilarski of the Tourism AI Network as keynote speaker for the Western Ideas Forum, scheduled for November 5, in Cranbrook, British Columbia.
Pilarski will deliver his keynote address, AI Made Simple, during the opening breakfast session at St. Eugene Golf Resort. His presentation will focus on how artificial intelligence can be applied in tourism and hospitality to strengthen operations and enhance guest experiences.
“AI is revolutionizing the tourism and hospitality industry, but many professionals feel overwhelmed by complex tools, jargon, and rapid changes,” the announcement indicates.
His session is designed to cut through technical barriers and provide practical approaches for adoption.
The keynote is expected to draw operators seeking to better understand how to integrate AI into daily business practices. Pilarski will provide clear steps that participants can take to begin using AI as a business advantage.
“Whether you want to enhance guest experiences, streamline operations, or gain a competitive edge, Peter’s session will provide clear steps for making AI your business advantage—without the confusion,” organizers noted.
In addition to his keynote, Pilarski will host a one-hour workshop later in the day, offering participants a deeper dive into AI tools.
The workshop will allow attendees to ask questions, review case studies, and explore strategies they can apply in their own operations.
Pilarski brings two decades of experience in digital marketing, communications, and government relations. He has worked across industries and is recognized for his ability to simplify technology while highlighting opportunities for innovation.
He has spoken at industry gatherings across Canada, including the BC Tourism Industry Conference, the Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association Summit, and Tourism HR Canada.
The Western Ideas Forum is a new industry event co-hosted by BCLCA and CCRVA. It is designed to provide education, networking, and supplier engagement opportunities for operators in the outdoor hospitality sector across Western Canada.
