Keremeos Grist Mill Campground Sees High Demand for Reservations

Outdoor recreation enthusiasts in British Columbia (Canada) were greeted with good news at the start of the year, as most B.C. recreation sites have opened.

BC Parks has opened campsite reservations, allowing campers to book a site four months ahead of their desired arrival date instead of the previous two-month booking window, and only a few days into 2023, local campground Grist Mill has already experienced a rush of reservations.

“We can tell that people are already thinking ahead to summer 2023 thanks to the sudden rush on reservations we’re seeing for our little creekside campground,” Grist Mill said in a Facebook post.

According to its website, the campground is a short drive from Penticton, Oliver and Osoyoos. The family-friendly destination is nestled in the shade of tall cottonwood trees adjacent to the meandering Keremeos Creek.

The campground features 11 creekside RV, tent, and camper sites with power hookups, water, picnic tables, and fire rings

“Our small campground is the perfect jumping-off place to explore the many farm stands, wineries, attractions, and recreation opportunities in both the Similkameen and South Okanagan Valley, as well as our site’s own many events and activities,” Grist Mill and Gardens in Keremeos indicated on its website.

In 2022, for the second year in a row, Grist Mill won Voted Best Campground in the South Okanagan / Similkameen 2021 and 2022 in the Best of the South Okanagan awards.

The campground also offers a 2023 Season Pass for guests to enjoy free admission to the site, discounts for ticketed events, restaurant, and gift shop, as well as other exclusive benefits.

The campground also unveiled a new season pass; the transferable Community Ambassador Season Pass allows four adults and up to four youths all the same benefits.

The creekside campground opens for the season on April 15, 2023.
