CRVA Tour Showcases RV Lifestyle, Supports Kids’ Cancer Camps

As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, the Canadian Recreational Vehicle Association (CRVA) rolled through British Columbia in July 2025 with the “RV The North Giveaway Tour,” spotlighting the RV lifestyle and supporting children with cancer through Care Camps Canada

The tour featured the 2025 Citation Reward Travel Trailer, donated by General Coach Canada, and made several stops across the province to raise awareness and funds for the charitable cause.

The B.C. segment began July 2, when CRVA’s Joss Penny and Jaimie Oswald picked up the trailer at Western RV Country in Airdrie, Alberta.

Their first destination was Canyon Hot Springs Resort near Revelstoke. Park operators Agnes and Brian Lee welcomed the team, and the site offered visitors a close-up look at the travel trailer amid a scenic mountain backdrop.

On July 3, the tour continued to Camperland RV Resort & Cabins in Rosedale, part of the Holiday Trails group. With a strong turnout and active engagement, the team promoted the giveaway and campaign efforts.

The following day, the trailer was delivered to Traveland RV in Langley for safekeeping ahead of a major event appearance. Traveland’s Chris Clarke coordinated the storage and prepped the trailer for its role in the Vancouver Craft Beer Week (VCBW) Festival, including producing a walk-through video of the unit.

From July 11 to 13, the trailer was on display at the VCBW Festival at the PNE grounds in Vancouver, drawing thousands of attendees. Go RVing Canada supported the event, and Abby from their team provided logistics coordination.

Post-festival, the tour moved to Gallagher Lake Resort in Oliver on July 14. There, BCLCA’s Member Services Manager, Darlene, prepared the display site, and President Jamie Cox made an appearance.

The next stop was Christina Pines Campground on July 15, where operators Lisa and Byron hosted the trailer. The campground’s family-oriented setting allowed more travelers to learn about Care Camps Canada and interact with the giveaway unit on-site.

On July 16, the trailer reached its final B.C. stop at the St. Eugene KOA in Cranbrook. This location will also host the 2025 Western Ideas Forum.

The trailer and tow vehicle returned to Alberta on July 17, concluding the B.C. portion of the cross-country tour with a final stop at Bucars RV Centre in Airdrie.
