Chelsea May Receives RVDA of Canada’s 2025 George Goodrick Emerging Leader Award

The Recreation Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada has named Chelsea May, national warranty manager at Fraserway RV, the recipient of the 2025 George Goodrick Emerging Leader Award.

The recognition was presented at the RVDA of BC Annual General Meeting, which has already begun in Kelowna, British Columbia.

May’s selection highlights her progression in the RV industry, where she began her career in 2016 as a detailer.

Over the years, she advanced into roles including receptionist and warranty administrator before taking on her current leadership position at Fraserway RV.

In her role as national warranty manager, May oversees a remote team that supports warranty processes across 12 Fraserway locations nationwide.

Her responsibilities include ensuring efficiency and consistency in claims handling while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.

“Chelsea is focused on getting the service and warranty processes in order and functioning at the highest level in order to provide the retail customer with the best overall service experience that Fraserway can offer. Her fair but firm approach, her understanding of data, and her continuous improvement mindset help her dig into problems and find suitable solutions,” Mike Pedue, dealer relations manager at Forest River, said in a press release.

Al Nanji, Vice President of Fixed Operations and Special Projects at Fraserway RV, echoed this view.

“Chelsea has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and strategic insight. Her ability to lead by example, especially during times of need, has earned her the deep respect and gratitude of those she works with,” he said.

The award reflects May’s broader impact on the RV sector, where her work has been tied to operational improvements and customer experience initiatives. Her contributions extend beyond technical expertise to include leadership development and industry engagement.

Upon receiving the award, May expressed her gratitude.

“I am truly honoured to receive the George Goodrick Emerging Leader Award and to be recognized by the RVDA of Canada. Thank you for this meaningful acknowledgment, which inspires me to lead with integrity and drive innovation in our industry. I eagerly anticipate contributing at higher levels and helping to forge a dynamic path forward for all of us,” she said.

The George Goodrick Emerging Leader Award was established to acknowledge young professionals who demonstrate leadership, innovation, and a commitment to advancing the RV industry. It serves as a platform for recognizing individuals who are making a measurable difference within their organizations and beyond.

The RVDA of Canada, a national federation of provincial and regional associations, advocates for retailers across the RV sector. The association develops advocacy initiatives, training, and resources on behalf of its members, reinforcing the industry’s role in Canadian tourism and recreation.
