BCLCA Expands Membership With Addition of New Campground and Utility Supplier

The British Columbia Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) announced the addition of a new active campground member and a new industry supplier, further strengthening its network of outdoor hospitality professionals across Canada.

Strongwater Camping and Cabins, located in Egmont, British Columbia, has joined the BCLCA as its newest active member.Strongwater’s inclusion in the association comes as the campground continues to develop its operations and services.

According to its website, from the May long weekend through the end of September, individual campsites, cabins, and group bookings are available with a minimum two-night stay.

Outside of peak season, guests are welcome to reserve one to 31 nights, offering more flexibility during the cooler months.

For those booking Cabins 1, 3, or 5, guests are encouraged to inform staff of their bed preference, twin or king-size. Firewood orders can also be arranged by sending a message.

Each cabin offers a distinct forest experience. Cabin 1 Tree House invites guests to climb natural rock steps to a private deck with a forest view. Nearby, Cabin 2 is also nestled in the trees with a rugged stone staircase leading to a calming green outlook.

Cabin 4 stands out for its peaceful setting, where deck chairs overlook the woods just one rock step from the entrance. Cabin 5, known as “Lightning,” offers a cozy and charming retreat among the trees.

Strongwater Camping and Cabins joins a growing number of BCLCA members who benefit from shared resources, promotional platforms, and access to a broader network of campground owners and hospitality providers across the province.

Also joining the BCLCA as a supplier member is Solitude Utility Corporation, a British Columbia-based utility services company headquartered in the Okanagan Valley.

Solitude specializes in multi-trade utility solutions, employing technicians and gasfitters who hold multiple certifications and work year-round across a wide service area extending from the West Coast to Ontario.

With a continued focus on industry growth and member support, BCLCA remains a key facilitator of connections and professional development opportunities for businesses operating in British Columbia’s outdoor hospitality economy.
