The British Columbia Lodging & Camping Association (BCLCA) has added four new active members to its roster, highlighting the province’s growing diversity in outdoor accommodations.
The new additions include Black Sheep Camp Kootenay River in Canal Flats, Crawford Bay Cottage & RV Park in Crawford Bay, Kispiox River Lodge in Hazelton, and Sandpiper Resort in Harrison Mills. These properties expand the association’s offerings across the Kootenay Rockies, Northern British Columbia, and the Fraser Valley, serving RV travelers, glampers, and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
Black Sheep Camp Kootenay River in Canal Flats offers a range of accommodations, including full-hookup RV sites, partial hookups, boondocking options, and glamping tents. The property operates year-round, catering to both summer visitors and winter campers.
The campground emphasizes proximity to natural landscapes, situating guests within the scenic Kootenay Rockies. It positions itself as a destination for relaxation and outdoor adventure.
Crawford Bay Cottage & RV Park in Crawford Bay also focuses on accommodating larger modern RVs, including those with multiple slide-outs and awnings, which can exceed the space available at older parks.
All stalls at Crawford Bay Cottage & RV Park provide treated water, sewer connections, and 50-amp electrical service, a feature described as “a rare commodity amongst local parks.”
Kispiox River Lodge, located in Hazelton, operates within the Gitxsan First Nation territory just north of the historic Hazeltons. The property features a lodge and cabins suitable for private events or as a base for wilderness adventures.
Guests at Kispiox River Lodge have access to fishing, mountain views, and other outdoor recreational opportunities, reflecting the property’s remote northern location.
Sandpiper Resort in Harrison Mills combines outdoor lodging with golf amenities. Its 18-hole Sandpiper Golf Course, voted the top course in the Fraser Valley, spans 6,500 yards and features four sets of tees to accommodate players of all skill levels.
The course at Sandpiper Resort operates 364 days per year and is situated amid mature forests and West Coast landscapes, offering a year-round recreational option for guests.
The BCLCA’s expansion to include these four properties strengthens the association’s representation of diverse accommodation types, from traditional RV sites to glamping and lodge-based stays.
