BC Parks has introduced a new flexible dates search feature to help campers find available campsites without entering specific dates. The search results are organized chronologically, showing the earliest available dates first.
The new feature responds to the demand for more flexible booking options. According to a press release by BC Parks, campers can now search for available sites at their favorite parks for an entire month, providing flexibility in planning their trips.
To use the new feature, campers should start by visiting BCParks.ca to identify a park near their desired destination. Once a park is selected, they can proceed to Camping.BCParks.ca to begin the reservation process. Another feature is a selection of camper equipment.
The next step involves selecting the park, choosing the date option, and toggling on the flexible dates feature. Additionally, users can specify the number of nights they wish to stay, the month they want to search, and whether they are interested in weekend camping opportunities.
Beyond improving the booking options, BC Parks has recently made enhancements in the South Coast region, focusing on accessibility and visitor experience across three parks.
“At Spirea Nature Trail in Golden Ears Park, we have added new direction signs and eight accessible rest areas with benches. This adds to the five sections of the boardwalk recently upgraded so everyone can access this beautiful area in the park,” a BC Parks Facebook post indicated.
In addition to the improvements at Golden Ears Park, BC Parks has expanded parking lots at Stawamus Chief and the Diamond Head chain-up lot in Garibaldi Park. These upgrades aim to provide easier access to these popular destinations. Upgrades to the trails at Stawamus Chief are also underway.
Using similar flexible dates tools, owners can improve customer satisfaction, attract a broader audience, and increase bookings.
