Camping season is just around the corner, and Special Areas (Alberta, Canada) is busy preparing municipal parks and campgrounds for the 2022 season.
According to a report, the online reservation system is back, and it’s better than ever! Online reservations for Prairie Oasis Park will begin accepting reservations on April 13, starting at 9:00 a.m. (MST).
There will be a CA$12 non-refundable reservation fee for online bookings. For the 2022 season, Special Areas has added more sites to the online reservation system, including the large group Camp Kitchen Site. For this year, there will be 55 reservable sites and 44 non-reservable sites at Prairie Oasis Park.
In the past online reservations did not always work as well as they should have for Prairie Oasis Park,” said Parks Supervisor John Armstrong
“We have listened to these concerns and committed to making visitors have a simple and positive experience when they make reservations online for Prairie Oasis.”
Bookings for reservable sites can be made via www.campspot.com/book/prairieoasispark. Non-reservable sites will remain on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are available for camping dates between May 17 through September 9. Outside of this time, all campsites within the park are managed on a first-come, first-served basis.
