Horseshoe Canyon Campground Offers Access to Hiking, Stargazing, and Local Attractions

Horseshoe Canyon Campground in Alberta’s Badlands has opened its doors to campers, offering a range of amenities and accommodations designed to serve both short-term visitors and longer-stay travelers. 

Located just steps from Horseshoe Canyon, the site provides direct access to hiking trails and views of the region’s landscape while remaining a short drive from attractions in Drumheller and Rosebud.

The campground offers a mix of tenting and RV sites, as well as cabins. Tent sites start at $40 per night, while RV options range from $53 for unserviced power and water to $63 for full-service 50-amp hookups.

A group RV site accommodating up to four units is available for $135 per night, with an additional fee for a fourth vehicle. Camping cabins are priced at $154 per night and deluxe cabins at $254, each providing heating, air conditioning, outdoor cooking facilities, and firepits.

On-site services include potable water, clean washrooms, coin showers, a convenience store, free Wi-Fi, firewood sales, playground facilities, and pet-friendly options. For guests seeking additional recreation, mini golf and evening stargazing are highlighted as features of the location.

Nearby attractions add value for visitors. The Royal Tyrrell Museum, Rosebud Theatre, Atlas Coal Mine, and Red Deer River Adventures all sit within close reach of the property, offering educational, cultural, and outdoor experiences.
