Alberta’s Firefly & Fiddle RV Resort Marks Three Decades in Operation

Firefly & Fiddle RV Resort, located south of the Village of Pigeon Lake, Alberta, is marking its 30th year of operation in 2025.

The family-owned resort has developed into a well-established destination for both seasonal and short-term visitors, offering a range of amenities and recreation opportunities designed to appeal to campers of all ages.

The resort, situated adjacent to Dorchester Ranch Golf Course and surrounded by mature forest, features 140 full-service RV sites that are currently occupied.

It also provides unserviced dry camping areas, a pool site, and two rentable group sites equipped with a covered eating area. Each RV site is equipped with 30-amp power, water, sewer, a fire pit, and a picnic table.

In addition to its camping facilities, Firefly & Fiddle RV Resort offers a selection of recreational amenities.

The resort also provides complimentary services such as sewer pump-outs, boat storage, and RV storage, with year-round access available for guests.

A key aspect of the resort’s identity is its long-standing community of seasonal campers.

According to the owners, “We have a great community of campers and we are proud to be in our 30th year of operation!” The resort has built its reputation on fostering a sense of community while maintaining a balance between nature and comfort.

For outdoor hospitality professionals, Firefly & Fiddle’s longevity highlights the value of investing in diversified amenities and creating a year-round offering.

By providing not only RV camping but also recreational and social spaces, the resort demonstrates how campgrounds can strengthen guest retention and appeal to a wider market.

Additionally, its inclusion of no-cost storage and customization options for seasonal guests reflects a strategy focused on customer loyalty and long-term engagement.

With the upcoming 30th anniversary, Firefly & Fiddle RV Resort illustrates how family-run parks can sustain operations for decades by adapting to changing guest expectations while maintaining a consistent focus on community and service.
