Adventure Golf & Sports (AGS) has recently announced an exclusive distribution partnership to bring the Netherlands-based Jora Vision’s RemarkaBall mini-golf concept to markets across the United States and Canada. This partnership positions AGS as the seller and installer of RemarkaBall in North America.
RemarkaBall’s approach combines classic mini-golf elements with a tech-infused, interactive format, aiming to enhance campground guest engagement and provide a social, competitive alternative to traditional mini-golf.
Developed as a pre-designed and customizable series of miniature golf holes, RemarkaBall introduces new dynamics to the game, moving beyond the passive nature of classic mini-golf. The gameplay is structured around high-score achievements rather than the usual goal of fewer strokes, transforming it into a more active and strategic experience.
Each hole incorporates various challenges, including time battles, physical obstacles, point multipliers, questionnaires, and timed shots, aiming to maintain high energy and unpredictability throughout the game. According to AGS, this element of unpredictability has the potential to drive higher guest attendance and encourage repeat visits, including in campgrounds.
RemarkaBall games can be set up in as little as 2,200 square feet, providing an adaptable format that can fit a variety of indoor spaces, from entertainment centers to restaurants and bars.
At the start of each game, players receive RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) wristbands, which serve to track each player’s progress throughout the course. After scanning in at each hole, players are greeted with a video tutorial explaining the specific challenge at hand. The RFID system not only keeps track of players’ scores but also automatically adds bonus points, creating a blend of physical gameplay and digital technology.
According to an article published by Inpark Magazine on November 6, Scott Lundmark, president of AGS, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, noting how RemarkaBall’s mini-golf holes complement various hospitality settings, from bars to restaurants.
Lundmark emphasized that RemarkaBall’s setup encourages guests to spend more time on site, engaging in the game while also enjoying food, drinks, and social activities. The integration of advanced technology not only accelerates gameplay but also enables a more social experience.
AGS and Jora Vision will showcase RemarkaBall at the upcoming IAAPA Expo, set to take place in Orlando, Florida, from November 19-22. Visitors to AGS booth #4867 will have the opportunity to experience a RemarkaBall mini-golf hole firsthand.
