The RV Dealers Association (RVDA) of Canada announced on October 22 the four finalists for the 36th Annual Walt Paseska Memorial Canadian RV Dealer of the Year Award, recognizing excellence in leadership, service, and community involvement across the Canadian RV industry.
Established in 1989 in honor of founding member Walt Paseska, the award celebrates Canadian RV dealers who demonstrate exceptional commitment to advancing the RV industry, promoting the RV lifestyle, and supporting their communities while maintaining outstanding customer service.
This year’s nominees are Marco and Mylaine Boudreault of E. Boudreault VR in Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec; Travis Bromley of Transcona Trailer Sales in Winnipeg, Manitoba; Jonathan Stone of Stone’s RV & Home Centre in Truro, Nova Scotia; and Richard Taché of Earlton RV Centre in Earlton, Ontario.
Marco and Mylaine Boudreault lead the family-owned business established in the mid-1980s. With more than 23 full-time employees, E. Boudreault VR has built a reputation for excellence in repair, maintenance, parts, accessories, and sales. Their operation is centered on the motto “A Family Like Ours,” reflecting their commitment to personalized service and long-term customer relationships.
Travis Bromley continues a 60-year family legacy in Winnipeg’s RV industry through Transcona Trailer Sales, where he has served as dealer principal and general manager for the past decade. With 23 years of experience in the industry, Bromley has been a key figure on the RVDA of Manitoba Board since 2016 and led the successful merger of Manitoba’s RV and Marine Shows.
Beyond his leadership in business, Bromley supports his community through fundraising events and charity barbecues benefiting local shelters, demonstrating the community-focused values that the Walt Paseska Award seeks to recognize.
In Nova Scotia, Jonathan Stone serves as president and co-owner of Stone’s RV & Home Centre. With 27 years in the industry and 15 as dealer principal, Stone continues the family enterprise founded in 1975. The dealership holds an A+ BBB rating and upholds a long-standing reputation for integrity and personal service.
Stone also represents Atlantic Canada as a director on the RVDA of Canada and Go RVing Canada boards, contributing to national discussions shaping the industry’s future.
From Ontario, Richard Taché has built a network of RV businesses since joining Earlton RV Centre in 2010. Now owner of multiple dealerships, including Timmins RV, Kapuskasing RV, Nighthawk RV, and Sutton Bay Campground, Taché was named the 2024 Ontario RVDA RV Dealer of the Year.
Taché serves on the Ontario RVDA Board of Directors and Education Committee, where he advocates for standardized training and an apprenticeship program for RV technicians. In 2023, he launched the Camp Life RV Show in Timmins, which quickly became a success among regional dealers and consumers.
Each nominee was selected by their provincial RVDA and evaluated by a panel of five previous Canadian RV Dealer of the Year winners: Al Robinson of Great Canadian RV, Andy Thomson of Can-Am RV Centre, Roland Goreski of Campkin’s RV Centre, Jason Friesen of Voyager RV Centre, and Jeff and Kyle Redmond of Bucars RV Centre.
The selection committee is chaired by Eleonore Hamm, president of RVDA of Canada, with assistance from Melanie Taylor, associate publisher of RV Lifestyle Magazine and RV Dealer News, the founding sponsor of the award.
The 2025 Canadian RV Dealer of the Year will be announced on November 12 at 8:45 a.m. during the RVDA of Canada Annual Meeting, held in conjunction with the RV Dealers Convention/Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada.
