Campspot-Powered Parks Lead OHI’s 2024 Park of the Year Finalists

Campspot, a provider of reservation management software in the outdoor hospitality sector, announced that 15 out of 24 finalists for the 2024 Park of the Year awards by OHI rely on its platform to enhance their guest experiences. The finalists span various categories, from small parks to mega parks.

The OHI Awards of Excellence spotlight the most outstanding parks in the industry, honoring those that cater to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Campspot’s presence among the finalists underscores its software’s impact on the market.

Campspot CEO Michael Scheinman expressed pride in the company’s role in the success of so many parks, stating, “We’re happy to see so many of our partners recognized for the hard work and dedication they put into creating top-tier camping experiences.”

Among the small park finalists is Quilly’s Big Fish RV Park in Rockport, Texas. Katie McLeod, owner and operator, voiced her gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing how it reflects the dedication of her team in curating experiences that foster community and connection.

“This recognition validates our efforts to continually improve, listen to guest feedback, and create a welcoming and inclusive space for all,” McLeod, noted.

The medium park finalists include Jellystone Park Columbus North in Ohio, Jellystone Park Lakes Region in New Hampshire, Jellystone Park Wichita Falls in Texas, Sun Outdoors Islamorada in Florida, and Sun Outdoors Wells Beach in Maine.

In the large park category, Jellystone Park Waller in Texas and Savannah Lakes RV Resort in South Carolina have secured spots as finalists.

The mega park finalists feature Camp Margaritaville RV Resort Breaux Bridge in Louisiana, Clay’s Park Resort in Ohio, Sun Outdoors Cape Charles in Virginia, and Sun Outdoors Myrtle Beach in South Carolina.

In addition to size-based categories, the Plan-It Green Friendly Park finalists include Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country in Texas, Evergreen Campsites and Resort in Wisconsin, and Jellystone Park Waller in Texas.

Two of Campspot’s industry partners, CRR Hospitality and Wild Energy, have also been named finalists for OHI’s Supplier of the Year award, alongside Campspot itself.

As the OHI finalists prepare for the awards ceremony, set to take place at the Outdoor Hospitality Conference and Expo (OHCE) in Oklahoma City on November 5, Campspot’s influence and role in shaping the industry remain evident. The company’s platform continues to empower parks, enabling them to optimize operations, boost occupancy rates, and create standout guest experiences.

At the OHCE, Campspot will not only be present as an Expo Sponsor but will also actively participate in various sessions. Campspot’s CEO is scheduled to speak on a research panel discussing trends and insights aimed at driving success in the industry, scheduled for Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m.

Campspot is also hosting a Fireside Chat on the expo floor, focusing on the dynamics of supply, demand, and profitability in the outdoor hospitality industry.

Additionally, Campspot is organizing a Casino Night reception at the on-site casino, open to all attendees. The event, happening Tuesday night, promises an exciting networking opportunity where the Campspot team is expected to announce new developments.
