Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country, a resort developed by Northgate Resorts, is expanding its outdoor hospitality offerings with the introduction of two new attractions aimed at enhancing guest experiences.
The Guadalupe Glider Zipline is scheduled to open Memorial Day Weekend 2025, while the Hilltop Hideaway pool and deck have been available since March.
The Guadalupe Glider Zipline adds to the resort’s lineup of adventure-based amenities. It features four parallel zip lines that allow guests to glide side-by-side at speeds reaching up to 40 mph over the Guadalupe River.
According to a press release, the ride spans a 130-foot elevation change, offering a combination of scenic views and high-speed excitement.
Open to the public as part of Camp Fimfo’s Fimfo Adventures, the zipline complements the resort’s existing alpine coaster, the Cliff Carver, known as the only one of its kind in Texas.
Camp Fimfo’s Chief Marketing Officer, Tessa McCrackin, said, “At Camp Fimfo, we’re always looking for new ways to help our guests embrace the great outside. These two new attractions showcase the best of both adventure and relaxation.”
The Hilltop Hideaway offers a contrasting experience focused on leisure and relaxation. Located above the main grounds of the resort, the new area features a four-terrace pool deck with panoramic views of the Texas Hill Country.
Amenities include a large resort-style pool, spa tub, swim-up bar, cabana rentals, and a quick-service bar and grill. The elevated setting provides guests with an opportunity to enjoy scenic sunsets while making use of premium facilities.
For business owners in the outdoor hospitality sector, these developments highlight several key trends.
First, the integration of high-impact adventure activities with luxury leisure spaces may serve as a blueprint for attracting both families and thrill-seekers.
Second, the emphasis on seasonal rollout—strategically opening amenities to coincide with major travel weekends—can offer a boost to early season bookings.
Finally, by keeping amenities open to both guests and the public, Camp Fimfo leverages its location and offerings to generate additional revenue beyond overnight stays.
Since its launch in 2021, Camp Fimfo has focused on combining nostalgic camping experiences with modern amenities.
The brand operates properties in New Braunfels and Waco, Texas, and offers a mix of accommodations including custom cabins, full hook-up RV sites, and tent camping.
With continued expansion planned, its approach serves as a case study in how to build a differentiated outdoor hospitality brand.
