Blue Water Development has rebranded two of its resort destinations, Chincoteague Bay RV Resort & Cottages in Virginia and Sugarloaf Key RV Resort & Cottages in Florida.
The changes, effective April 1 and April 15, respectively, signal the company’s continued push for independently branded experiences under its direct management.
‘Both properties had previously operated under the Sun Outdoors name but will now function under new branding while maintaining oversight by Blue Water. The move aligns with the company’s long-term vision to elevate recreational offerings and guest engagement across its portfolio of resorts.
Chincoteague Bay RV Resort & Cottages, formerly Sun Outdoors Chincoteague Bay, is located on Virginia’s Eastern Shore. The site offers access to a private fishing pier, bayfront promenade, sports courts, and a playground.

Situated just 15 minutes from Key West, the resort features paddleboard and kayak rentals, a heated pool, tiki bar, and fire pit lounge, in addition to a mix of RV sites and vacation cottages.
