Transforming Wilderness Luxury: The AU$20 Million Redevelopment of Discovery Parks – Cradle Mountain

In a landmark development for luxury wilderness accommodation, Discovery Parks – Cradle Mountain has initiated an ambitious AU$20 million redevelopment project. Situated in the heart of Tasmania’s renowned Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park, this project is set to revolutionize regional tourism in Australia.

Discovery Parks – Cradle Mountain, a cherished destination for nature lovers and adventurers, is located in Tasmania’s pristine wilderness. Its proximity to the World Heritage-listed Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park has established it as a premier destination for those seeking an authentic natural experience.

Grant Wilckens, founder and CEO of G’Day Group, posted on LinkedIn that the redevelopment was nearly two years in the making coming to life. He said they were proud to bring 60,000 tourist nights to the region and provide much-needed new accommodation in one of Australia’s most incredible wilderness locations.

The substantial AU$20 million investment in the park reflects the increasing demand for environmentally conscious, luxury tourism. The redevelopment encompasses the introduction of high-end cabins, enhancements to existing facilities, and a broadening of accommodation choices.

As expressed by Matthew Lang, chief operations officer at G’Day Group, in another LinkedIn post, this initiative represents more than a mere upgrade; it signifies the introduction of a novel, luxurious regional experience for visitors.

At the heart of this redevelopment is the introduction of a premium cabin category, designed to seamlessly integrate luxury with the natural environment. Lang highlights that these cabins are meticulously crafted to enhance the intrinsic beauty and experience of Cradle Mountain, offering guests an unparalleled luxury wilderness experience.

This redevelopment is poised to significantly elevate tourism, with expectations of attracting an additional 60,000 tourist nights. It not only demonstrates a commitment to eco-friendly tourism practices but also promises to bring considerable economic benefits to the local community.

With the completion of this redevelopment, Discovery Parks – Cradle Mountain is set to redefine standards in luxury wilderness accommodation. The long-term vision for the park includes potential expansions and new projects, solidifying its role in the evolution of tourism in the region.

The AU$20 million redevelopment of Discovery Parks – Cradle Mountain marks a pivotal chapter in the narrative of Australian tourism. It reflects a growing trend towards sustainable, high-quality accommodation in natural settings and is poised to elevate the guest experience to unprecedented levels.
