Snowy River’s Pricing Strategy: A Win for RV Consumers

In a move that promises to bring transparency and fairness to the recreational vehicle (RV) market, Melbourne-based Snowy River has announced the implementation of fixed ‘tow-away’ pricing across its nationwide dealer network.

This strategy ensures that the same online prices are advertised for Snowy River’s 16-model full-height caravan line-up, irrespective of the dealer’s location in any state or territory.

Snowy River, operating since 2015, has grown to become one of Australia’s biggest-selling imported caravan brands. The new pricing strategy is the result of rigorous testing and meticulous planning over the last six to eight months.

“Our unique tow-away pricing strategy… ensures equal pricing for every consumer across Australia,” said Snowy River Marketing Manager Yathin Balgobind.

This pricing strategy is a significant milestone in Snowy River’s journey towards enhancing brand credibility. The goal is to offer the highest degree of transparency and visibility to dealers and valued consumers.

The fixed pricing strategy will benefit consumers looking for a good RV to use, as it eliminates the uncertainty of varying prices based on location, according to a report by Caravan Camping Sales.

To coincide with the new price ‘equalization’ program, Snowy River also recently updated its SRC composite touring caravan range. The updates include a new front nose design, fibreglass window protector, new-design rims, aluminium-framed windows, picnic table and entry door, and a new spare wheel rear mounting point and wireless rear camera.

The MY23 Snowy River SRC caravan range now comes with a 100Ah lithium battery system with twin 180W solar panels and an instant hot water system. It also includes built-in wireless phone chargers and new LED strip lighting inside. These enhancements are expected to add value to the consumer’s RV experience.

Snowy River also released production versions of a new four-model SRT Multi Terrain range earlier this year.

These ‘tough road’ vans are fitted with a number of ‘off-grid’ features as standard, including a Dometic dust reduction system, front and rear floodlights, 16in wheels with mud terrain tyres, an A-frame toolbox, and a 200Ah lithium battery system with three 180W flexible rooftop solar panels.

The MY23 SRT models come standard with an independent coil suspension and 190L fresh and 100L grey water capacity. Interior enhancements include black tapware, a leather finish upholstery, and the fitment of a Thetford 174L compressor fridge.

Later this year, Snowy River is expected to roll out production versions of a new pop-top caravan, followed by a new range of hybrid models. These developments will further expand the options available to consumers in the RV market.

Snowy River’s adoption of fixed tow-away pricing is a significant development in the RV industry. It promises to bring transparency and fairness to the market, benefiting consumers looking for a good RV to use. With its recent updates and new models, Snowy River continues to enhance the RV experience for its consumers.
