Reflections Holidays Expands NSW Portfolio with Tumut River Park

Reflections Holidays has expanded its operations in New South Wales with the addition of Reflections Tumut River to its portfolio, bringing the total number of holiday parks under its management to 41.

The move strengthens the group’s presence in the Riverina region, positioning it as a key player in nature-based tourism within the state.

Previously known as Riverglade Holiday Park, the Tumut River property is located at the foothills of the Snowy Mountains and is a popular destination for outdoor recreation.

Under Reflections Holidays, the park will continue to offer experiences such as hiking, fishing, and mountain biking while benefiting from the group’s broader strategic approach to nature-focused tourism.

Reflections Holidays CEO Nick Baker highlighted the importance of the addition, noting that the park complements the company’s existing properties in Burrinjuck Waters and Wee Jasper.

“We already manage ruggedly beautiful holiday parks at Burrinjuck Waters and Wee Jasper which, like Tumut, are connected to the Hume and Hovell Track,” Baker said in a report by Travel Weekly.

“We’ll be encouraging our guests and visitors to ‘connect the dots’ and visit these three beautiful destinations.”

With the acquisition of the Tumut River location, Reflections continues its model of reinvesting profits into the parks and reserves it manages.

The company, which oversees 47 nature reserves on Crown Land spanning approximately 10,000 hectares, estimates that operations at the new site will contribute an additional $1.2 million in tourism revenue to the local economy annually.

For business owners in the outdoor hospitality sector, this expansion underscores the growing demand for nature-based tourism and the increasing role of sustainable park management in regional economic development.

Reflections, as Australia’s only certified social enterprise in the holiday park sector, is positioning itself as a leader in the integration of environmental stewardship and economic impact.

As part of its efforts to engage with the local community, Reflections hosted a workshop on March 6 to discuss social impact and explore ways in which its parks contribute to regional economies and community well-being.

“Reflections is focused on connecting people with nature because we believe life’s better outside,” Baker added, reinforcing the company’s commitment to both tourism growth and environmental sustainability.
