NRMA Parks and Resorts has expanded its presence in New South Wales with the addition of four Central Coast holiday parks—Budgewoi, Canton Beach, Norah Head, and Toowoon Bay—transitioning from Central Coast Council management to operation under the NRMA brand.
The announcement comes ahead of the summer holiday season, positioning NRMA to serve returning and new guests in one of Australia’s most popular coastal destinations.
The four parks will continue to operate on behalf of Central Coast Council but will now integrate NRMA’s national standards, rewards program, and member benefits. The move brings NRMA’s managed portfolio to 50 parks and resorts across Australia, reinforcing its focus on family-friendly, pet-friendly, and nature-based accommodation.

Paul Davies, CEO of NRMA Parks and Resorts, said the expansion reflects the organisation’s ongoing commitment to providing quality and value for travelers.
“We are delighted to welcome the Central Coast’s holiday favourites Budgewoi, Canton Beach, Norah Head and Toowoon Bay to the NRMA Parks and Resorts family,” he said.
“These parks hold a special place in the hearts of so many Australian holidaymakers, and we look forward to building on that legacy with our focus on delivering consistent quality, trusted service, memorable family-friendly experiences, and great member benefits.”

The addition also contributes to the region’s tourism sector, which benefits from proximity to Sydney and its reputation for beach and lakeside recreation.
“This addition gives travellers, including our members, even more choice for their coastal getaways, while also supporting tourism growth in the Central Coast region,” Davies added.
Each of the new NRMA-managed parks offers unique coastal and lakeside experiences. Budgewoi Holiday Park features lakefront sites, pet-friendly camping, playgrounds, and a pool; Norah Head Holiday Park provides direct beach access and family attractions like a splash zone; Canton Beach Holiday Park caters to boating and fishing enthusiasts; and Toowoon Bay Holiday Park offers beachfront villas, campsites, and an outdoor cinema.

For outdoor hospitality professionals, the acquisition highlights continued consolidation within the Australian holiday park sector, demonstrating how brand management partnerships can enhance guest experience and operational consistency while maintaining local identity.
Operators can view NRMA’s model as an example of balancing council ownership with private management expertise to achieve both tourism growth and customer satisfaction.
